This Is Halloween

I love Halloween. I always have. Yesterday I was talking to my mum and I asked her about the first time I went Trick or Treating and actually got excited for Halloween... Apparently when when I was around four or five, she came home from work and I had dressed myself up as a witch and wanted to go haha! (The downside of having an older sibling is they always got to do the good stuff you couldn't!) I really miss that feeling of excitement in the the air on Halloween night! The other day I picked up my pumpkins at a pumpkin farm (Rumblers Farm, if you're local to Hertfordshire!) I think pumpkins are so much better from actual pumpkin farms! Yesterday we finally carved our pumpkins and I baked one batch of pumpkin cupcakes and one batch of chocolate orange cupcakes. I'd never tried pumpkin cupcakes before, so I didn't know what to expect, but they're amazing! I'm thinking of maybe writing up a little recipe post on those? I'm SO jealous of everyone's amazing Halloween nail art I've been seeing. I attempted some last year and it was so bad that every time I looked at my nails, I felt sad haha! This year, I've played it safe and just painted them black and orange with some lovely glitter on the top! Today I'm feeling pretty ill, I'm thinking I might be getting a cold or something? So, I think myself and Charlie are just going to order a takeaway and watch some Halloween movies and of course, Harry Potter!

I hope you're all having a lovely day! Do you celebrate Halloween? If so, what are your plans?

Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Autumn Nail Paints

As I mentioned in a recent blog post, I only had one autumnal nail polish... Can you believe it?! So, I definitely wanted to pick up a few new shades and just as luck would have it, Barry M released some new Gelly Polishes for A/W. There are six new shades and to be honest, I love them all, but I limited myself to just three:

Chilli which is a really deep, browny red. I don't usually go for shades like this, but I think it's the most perfect red for autumn!

Mustard which is a mustard yellow. As I said in my autumn wishlist, I am obsessed with mustard shades for autumn. I am slightly worried this will look horrendous with my skin tone though, so I haven't worn it just yet, but I will take the plunge asap!

Cardamom which is a mossy green shade. I don't usually wear green shades, but I love this!

Chilli is definitely my favourite out of the three shades and I just keep reapplying it every time it chips. I'm also really wanting to get Paprika. Someone described it as the perfect pumpkin shade and I totally agree, it's such a gorgeous shade for autumn!

Are you a fan of the Gelly nail polishes?

Halloween Yankee Candles | Ghostly Treats, Witches Brew & Candy Corn

Halloween Yankee Candle Review - Ghostly Treats, Witches Brew and Candy Corn

Ghostly Treats | Witches Brew | Candy Corn

Hello Lovelies! Now Halloween is drawing closer, I've been starting to use all of my Halloween scents that I picked up from Yankee Candle recently, so today I thought I'd tell you my thoughts on all the scents..

Oh my GOD. This is probably my favourite candle ever. I feel like it's a lovely combination between a sweet and clean scent. To me, it smells just like marshmallows and vanilla, but it isn't at all sickly. It reminds me slightly of 'Merry Marshmallow' but it's sweeter and stronger. I love it so much and I don't know what it is about it, but whenever it's lit, it always makes me feel so calm and happy haha! I've already finished my tart and now I'm burning the jar, I don't want to finish it!

If I'm honest... I don't think I've ever disliked a candle this much. To me, it smells just like liquorice. I was never sure if I was completely keen on this scent before lighting it and when it is lit, it's even worse! It's just SO strong, it gave me such a bad headache, I didn't even have it lit for long before blowing the candle out! I definitely won't buy this one again.

I really love this one too and I always buy this every year. This time round I bought two, so I could light one before and on Halloween. I've already used one of the tarts. It's such a beautiful, sweet vanillary scent. I've heard it smells just like the Candy Corn sweets, so I definitely think I will try them when I'm in the US next year! I don't find this is as strong as Ghostly Treats, but it's still really lovely.

Which candle scents are you loving at the moment?

P:S All the Halloween candles are now on sale, so if you want to pick some up I suggest you do so asap!

DIY | Glitter Pumpkins

Wilko PVA Glue
Glitter Pumpkins
Glitter Pumpkins

Last Wednesday, I ventured to my local farm and visited their little pumpkin patch and picked up a few pumpkins. Instead of carving them all, I thought I'd make some all glittery and so that's what I did yesterday!

These are SO easy to make all you need is:
Glue -
(We used PVA just because it was cheap and it's sold pretty much everywhere. I probably wouldn't recommend this as it is really runny, but it's fine if you want something cheap and easy to get hold of)
Glue Spreader
(Annoyingly, I didn't have one and we had to apply the glue with a spoon and our hands, not the best haha)
(I got mine from a seller on eBay and I 100% recommend them. The glitter arrived super quick and they also have an amazing shade range.. They even have pastel glitter!)

All you have to do is apply the glue to the pumpkin and make the shape of how you'd like the glitter to look and then just throw the glitter on (my favourite part) and then all that is left to do is shake all the remaining glitter off and leave to dry! I don't feel like mine are the best, but they're okay for a first attempt haha.

I love how creative people are now with pumpkins and I've completely fallen in love with all the ones I've seen on Pinterest. I definitely think I will paint a few next year! I think these are a lovely alternative if you're one of those people who hate carving pumpkins and I have a feeling these will last alot longer too! The rest of our pumpkins, we're planning on carving, so once we have I'll show you those too :) I looove this time of year haha!

Are you buying a pumpkin this year?

Bath & Body Works Pumpkin Cupcake PocketBaq | £4.49

Bath and Body Works is the dream. It's the one store that I feel I need in my life and it kills me that there isn't one in the UK. I saw a few people on Instagram say that they have bought a few Bath & Body Works products online, so I thought I'd have a look. I want one of the candles so much, but I don't really want to spend £20-£30 on a candle right now, it can sometimes feel like you're just burning away your money and that's a depressing thought! I ended up buying one of the PocketBacs. If you're unsure of what these are, they're anti-bacterial hand gels that come in so many different amazing scents! As it's autumn, I thought I'd get Pumpkin Cupcake! It smells absolutely incredible. I like the smell of pumpkin, but I don't like it when it's really strong and this is perfect. You can smell that there is a hint of pumpkin, but it also smells really lovely and sweet.. I would agree it does smell just like pumpkin cupcakes haha! My boyfriend said it's a little bit sickly, but I disagree and am obsessed! I paid £4.49 including delivery, but as there is only 29ml of product, it is pretty expensive, I would buy more, but maybe as sort of a one-off thing. Next year when I'm in America I will definitely have to stock up on all the Bath and Body Works goodies and take full advantage of the 5 for $5 deal on the PocketBac's!

Have you tried anything from Bath & Body Works?

P.S: I reached 500 followers the other day and although it's such a tiny number in the grand scheme of the blogging world, it still makes me SO happy. It's sometimes weird to think I only had 33 followers back in January! Thank you all so much <3

Wishlist #5: Halloween

Can you believe it's only one week until Halloween? I feel like this year has gone so scarily fast and it doesn't look like it's going to slow down anytime soon, Christmas will be here before we know it! If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, you'll know how excited I am for Halloween, so I thought I'd put together a little wishlist! I'll probably pop up another Halloween themed post soon, once we've carved our pumpkins and baked our Halloween treats :)

What are your plans for Halloween?

Autumn Beauty Haul

First up is my A/W nail polish splurge. Painting my nails isn't something I really enjoy to be honest, but I always have to have my nails painted or I feel naked! Recently, I noticed I only had one autumnal nail polish, so I decided to pick up a few more shades and I also wanted to repurchase a couple of my favourite Christmas/Winter polishes.

If you saw my recent post of my gelly nail polish collection, you'll know how obsessed I am and when I saw their new autumn shades I completely fell in love and had to pick a few up! I got three shades - Mustard, Chilli and Cardamom and I also picked up a red shade called 'Blood Orange' it isn't apart of the new collection, but I needed a new red nail polish, so I went for this!

Next I picked up Ruby Slippers which is a gorgeous red glitter and Diamond Glitter which has different sizes of holographic glitter in, so pretty! I love both of these so much and they're actually both repurchases. These two polishes are literally essentials for the festive period!

And the last nail polishes I picked up were Silver Foil which is another repurchase and it's a  really lovely smooth silver metallic shade and Navy I haven't tried this before, but I really wanted a dark blue shade in my collection!

I've already done a post on the things I picked up from Zoella Beauty, so I won't bore you too much, but I thought I'd add them in the haul anyway! I thought I'd also give you a little update on what I think of the products now I've had a chance to try them properly. The 'Blissful Mistful' is lovely and I'm still really loving it. It's definitely not a mature scent, but it's nice as a body spray or as a room spray! The 'Soak Opera Bath Soak / Shower Creme' isn't my favourite product. It's okay, but it's nothing special. It kind of reminds me of those cheap Disney Princess shower gels you can buy, but it's a lot more expensive. I think I'll stick to using this as a bubble bath, just to use it up and I probably won't buy it again. And finally the 'Let's Glow Candle' I like this, but again, it's nothing special. Personally, I think the candle is tiny for the price and I think I'd rather just buy some Yankee Tarts than buy this again.

And lastly I picked up some skincare products. Since the weather changed my skin has been going crazy, so I thought I'd throw a few new products into the mix, I'll let you know what I think of them once I've had a chance to test them out properly.

Thank you for reading! Have you been buying an beauty products recently?
