November Favourites

November Beauty Favourites 2014

Hello Lovelies! I've been loving so many products this month, so I definitely had to do a monthly favourites!

MAC Relentlessly Red Lipstick | £15.50
First up is this lipstick from MAC in the shade "Relentlessly Red", which is such a weird name because it's not red at all haha! I'm mostly wearing very dark shades at the moment, but as I hadn't worn this for ages I randomly wore it recently and fell in love! This lipstick is a very bright pink shade and what I love about it, is it looks amazing with so many different skintones. I thought this may look awful with my pale skin, but it doesn't at all!

MAC Select Cover-Up Concealer | £15.50
I received this for my birthday and I was so excited to try it because my holy grail concealer is from MAC, but I'll be honest I hated this and I didn't understand how other people loved it. Recently I was watching one of Tanya Burr's recent tutorials and she used this, so I thought I'd give it another go and actually started to really like it! During the colder months, I feel like my skin always looks so much more dull and this is perfect for brightening the skin!

MAC 217 Blending Brush | £19.00 |
This is one of my favourite brushes ever and everyone NEEDS it in their lives. I love it that much that I will definitely write a full review of this, so I won't say too much, but if you're just starting out with eyeshadow and you're just getting to grips with blending, you need this! It makes blending easy and just like a dream! I now have two 217's and I can definitely see myself purchasing more!

MAC Amber Lights Eyeshadow | £10.00
My current favourite eyeshadow is Amber Lights! This had been sitting in my MAC palette untouched, pretty much since I got it for my birthday and then I saw it swatched over on thebeautybomb's blog and I was OH MY GOD that is so beautiful and just like that I became obsessed. You could probably wear this all year round, but I think it's the most perfect shade for autumn/winter! MAC describe this as a "Peachy-brown with shimmer" Click here to see me wearing this!

Collection Extreme 24HR Felt Tip Liner | £2.99
I am the worst when it comes to eyeliner, so recently I haven't been wearing it at all. I picked this up a couple of months ago when I heard it was really easy to work with and it is! It's super black, unlike some other cheaper liquid liners and it's easy to create a thick or thin line.

Real Techniques Contour Brush | £21.00
Annoyingly I think this is only available if you buy the whole brush collection, but it's worth it! This is called the Contour Brush, but I think it's a great brush for all different things. I use it for contouring, highlight, blush and it's perfect for powdering under the eyes. I have two of these brushes, but I definitely would love more, to save me constantly needing a clean one.

Barry M 292 Navy | £2.99 |  & Essie Jazzy Jubiliant| £7.99
My favourite two nail polishes this month, have been this really lovely navy shade from Barry M and this Essie glitter top coat. They are such a beautiful combination together, but I do hate how quickly the Barry M nail paints chip!

Zoella Blissful Mistful | £8.00 |
I've mentioned how much I love this before so I won't go into too much detail. But I'm still really loving it! It's such a lovely scent and as it's reasonably priced I don't feel bad using it often!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Crush | £7.99
This is such a perfect product. It has great, buildable pigmentation and it feels lovely on the lips, which is nice when my lips need a rest from all those matte lipsticks!

Bourjois Volume 1 Second Mascara | £9.99 |
This had been on my wishlist for a while and I finally got my hands on it recently and it definitely lives up to the hype, my lashes look amazing! My boyfriend even thought I was wearing false lashes one day recently haha.

What have you been loving recently?

Christmas Home Decor

Stag | Noel | Heart Wreath| Candle | Door Stop | Stag Candle Holder | Cushion

Every year I always get WAY TOO EXCITED to decorate and make the place look lovely and Christmassy and this year is no different. Our living room is smaller than last year (we put a wall up to divide the room, making two rooms) so, we thought it was best we bought a smaller tree. That has now been purchased, so we just need to buy some new tree decorations and the tree can finally go up! I know I'll end up buying too many decorations though, I always get too carried away..

When are you putting your tree up?

Yankee Candle Salted Caramel Wax Tart | £1.49

Oh, there is nothing better than getting into the softest pyjamas, finding something to watch on Netflix and lighting a candle, is there? If you saw my recent Yankee Candle Haul, you'll be aware that I have quite a few scents to get through. Salted Caramel is one scent that I'm always being recommended and so many people say that this is their favourite candle ever, so I finally gave it a go!

"Sweet surrender is yours with our luscious gourmand confection of burnt sugar, sea salt and smooth vanilla caramel."

Recently, I've become obsessed with all things Salted Caramel and I've even taken to making homemade Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate, which tastes amazing, but is SO sickly! (I'll probably pop up a recipe of that soon!) Because of this, I have been so excited to try this candle and I had high hopes that it would be one of my favourites. I love sweet scents and if you do too, this is perfect because it's so sickly sweet! It's pretty strong too and lingers for hours.

Overall I like the scent. It's one of those perfect ones for a cosy evening, but I don't love it enough to buy it in a bigger size. It is very sickly and it did give me a slight headache...

Have you tried this? Did you like it? What are your favourite Yankee scents?

MAC Diva Review

MAC Diva Review

One of my favourite things about the colder months is all those gorgeous dark plum and berry shades that always come out in force. One of my favourite lipsticks for this time of year is Diva from MAC. I featured this in a recent post, but today I thought I'd finally review it and show you what it looks like on the lips!

Diva is described as a "Intense reddish-burgundy " and I completely agree. It's a matte finish, so I always prep my lips before hand to prevent it from feeling too drying. What I love most, is how long lasting this is, it stays put for hours even with eating and drinking and the pigmentation is amazing! Admittedly, it does look scarily dark in the tube, but I think it's such a lovely shade on! I also love using this in the outer corners of my lips when I'm wearing Ruby Woo, once blended, it looks so vampy and beautiful! If you're looking for that perfect vampy, dark lipstick, I definitely recommend this, I feel like Rebel always gets so much attention, but sometimes I feel like I prefer this!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer | £4.19

Hello Lovelies! This was one of the first products I ever bought after reading some blog reviews and since then it has become one of my holy grail items and I've bought countless tubes! The Lasting Perfection Concealer from Collection is £4.19 and is currently available in four shades (Fair, Cool Medium, Warm Medium and Dark)

"Conceals flaws, imperfections and blemishes for up to 16 hours. Water-resistent and transfer proof. Use with Lasting Perfection Foundation and Powder for the ultimate in long-lasting wear."

In terms of packaging, it comes in a simple plastic tube with a doe-foot sponge applicator. It isn't the prettiest, but I don't mind it. I do hate how quickly the print fades off from the tube though! The shade I use is Cool Medium, which is the second lightest shade and I find it to be a pretty good match. I usually just use this under my eyes and on any redness. It is a pretty brightening concealer, so I find it tends to highlight breakouts. Consistency wise, it is pretty thick, but I think it blends easily! I've seen a few people say they won't use this under the eyes because it's too thick, but as long as you blend well, it's fine!

Overall, I love this concealer. I first purchased it back 2011 and I'm still repurchasing to this day! It's not my favourite concealer ever. The shade range is poor and I always tend to prefer higher end base products, but if you're looking for a concealer that is brightening, has a full coverage and is budget friendly... This is the one for you!

How I Edit My Instagram Pictures

How I Edit My Instagram Pictures Blog

I am obsessed with Instagram and I spent far too much of my time on the app. I've had my account for a while now, but these days I use it more for blogging purposes. Alot of people say they don't find Instagram useful in terms on blogging, but I really do! Recently, I've been finding alot of people asking how I edit my pictures and as I recently reached 1000 followers, I thought I'd finally write a post to show you!

I keep the editing process very simple. Some people use about 10 different apps to edit one picture, personally, I think that's way too time-consuming haha! All I do is: choose the image, add a filter (I always, always use Valencia) sometimes I just leave it like this, or I'll adjust the brightness and that's literally it!

Finished image:

I don't usually use any other apps to edit, but if I do the ones I love are:

Picfx -
This app costs £1.49, but I definitely think it's worth it! It has so many different filters and effects to choose from. I don't really use this app much anymore, but if I do, I always use the 'light' folder. My favourite effects are: Bokeh 2, Bokeh 5, Hearts and Small Hearts.

Pic Stitch
I don't seem to make picture collages much anymore, but if I do this app is free and really handy!

This is another handy app! This is perfect for those images that you don't want to re-size and would rather have a white background instead. I always use this app when I upload my wishlist images!

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed this different kind of post! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask :)
