10 Events To Attend This Halloween

10 Events To Attend This Halloween 2017

As there is now just a little over a week until Halloween, I thought I'd compile a list of the some of the best events to attend this Halloween, in case you're still stuck for something to do... (As I'm from the UK, all these events will be based here, sorry to all my non-British readers!)

01. Hocus Pocus Halloween
The Book Club is hosting a Hocus Pocus event! If art is your thing, from 4:30pm there's a live drawing class that you can attend. What could be better than drawing your favourite witches while listening to the perfect Halloween playlist? If that's not up your street, arrive at 6:30pm for a free screening of Hocus Pocus, face painting and a cocktail version of their 'witches brew'.
When? 28th October // Tickets available here

02. Halloween Afternoon Tea.
Trying to find something to do this Halloween but not wanting it to be something too 'out there'? This 1960's horror movie inspired afternoon tea, at the Royal Lancaster London is perfect. Enjoy a range of 'spooky' sweet and savoury treats while Alfred Hitchcock classics flicker from a projector.
When? Every day until the 31st // Book here

03. The Addams Family Live in Concert.
It isn't Halloween until you've watched an Addams Family film and watching it with a live orchestra would just be absolutely magical.
When? 26th October // Tickets available here

04. Alcotraz Penitentiary.
If cocktails are your thing, London's first prison cocktail bar is now open. On arrival, you're given your inmate number and an orange jumpsuit, before you're locked behind bars. Once you're settled in, you'll have to learn how to smuggle your contraband past security and get your mixologist to make you a few cocktails discreetly. This is definitely a different experience but perfect if you're a huge Orange is the New Black fan.
When? 31st October // Tickets available here

05. Outdoor Cinema.

Ever wanted to sit under the stars in the most beautiful grounds and watch one of your favourite films? And what more of a magical time to go than Halloween... The Luna Cinema is showing Beetlejuice (1987), The Silence of the Lambs (1991) and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) at Hampton Court Palace.
When? 30th October - 1st November // Tickets available here

06. Zombie Shopping Mall.
Want to live out your Walking Dead and The Last of Us fantasies? Now's your chance. As you enter the abandoned shopping centre, you'll be briefed by the 'police unit' and they'll fill you in on what you need to do to survive the next few hours. The experience is set in a 250,000 sqft shopping centre, over an impressive 6 floors. As the darkness, the smoke-filled rooms and zombie moans intensify your anxiety, will you have what it takes to survive the apocalypse?
When? Various dates. Tickets available here

 07. Dickens After Dark.
Ever fancied being in a museum after dark? Now you can! Experience Charles Dicken's Victorian townhouse as if the author had only just walked out the door. Fortune tellers, magicians and a candle-lit bar will be available for the evening too!
When? 26th October // Tickets available here

08. Tulley's Shocktober Fest.
If you're not already aware of the incredible events that are held at Tulley's every year, you must have been living under a rock. Here you'll find creepy hayrides, haunted mazes, face painting, tarot reading...and so much more to keep you entertained this festive season.
When? Until 4th November // Tickets available here

09. Silent Disco Boat.
If a party is what you want this Halloween, how about a spooky silent disco...on a boat along the River Thames. Silent Sounds will take you on a two-storey boat for a night of drinking, dancing and Halloween fun, while you take in all the London landmarks. Fancy dress is encouraged.
When? 27th October // Tickets available here

010. All Night Movie Marathon.
Or if a night of partying isn't on the cards, maybe pulling an all-night movie marathon at the Prince Charles Cinema is. Here you'll watch back to back horror films which include: Friday the 13th, An American Werewolf in London, The Exorcist, Alien, A Nightmare On Elm Street and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
When? 28th October // Tickets available here
