10 Things I'm Excited For This Autumn

Best things about autumn/fall 2017

If you know me, you'll know how much I just love autumn. I'm that person that hates summer and is always counting down the days until it's autumn again. There's just so much about it that makes me so happy and because of that, I thought today I'd share my favourite things about it and what I'm most looking forward to. In the words of Winifred Sanderson: 'tis time!

1. Being able to wear all things cosy again without sweating to death. Knitted jumpers, onesies and dressing gowns, I'm looking at you...

2. All the leaves falling from the trees and them turning golden and crispy. Am I too old to jump into a pile of leaves? Yes. Will I still do it? You bet.

3. Spending the evenings all snuggled up with cosy blankets, hot water bottles and having every single candle I own lit. I'm not kidding, I just really love candles. It's a problem.

4. The autumnal themed drinks appearing in all of the over-priced coffee shops. It's that time of year again where I attempt to like all things Pumpkin Spice. I soon realise that I definitely do not and say I'll try again next year. Evidently, fun autumnal activities are my forte.

5. The colder it gets the more tv I seem to binge, which is convenient because this season also marks the return of some of my favourite shows: American Horror Story (5th September), Grey's Anatomy (28th September), Once Upon a Time (6th October), Riverdale (11th October), The Walking Dead (22nd October) and Stranger Things (27th October)

6. Bubble baths are like heaven on earth again and you can have them super hot and not melt into a puddle like an Abzorbaloff from Doctor Who.

7. Halloween releases from any brand ever. Food, makeup, clothing... I don't care what it is, I'm down for it all. Do I want Halloween themed cakes? YES, I BLOODY DO.

8. Finally being able to get away with wearing berry and plum lipsticks again without anyone thinking you're going for the Wednesday Addams look. (It's okay, I secretly am. She's my queen.)

9. Walking outside and smelling the smokey, crisp air of October. This is one of my favourite things about autumn because it makes me feel so nostalgic about Halloween as a child.

10. And lastly, Halloween. My favourite night of the year. And the time I get to watch all of my favourite Halloween films like Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown. I am so ready.
