All The Stupid Reasons I Cried In March

Before you start jumping to conclusions that I'm turning into the Trisha Paytas of the blogging world, I thought this would actually be a pretty funny post to see all of the stupid reasons I cried during the month of March. Obviously, there will have been times I will have cried for actual serious reasons but I won't include them because that would be pretty bloody depressing. Everyone that knows me, knows I'm that GAL to cry at everything so lol, here we go!

1. The fact that there are currently so many missing people in the world that will never be found. I don't have any recollection of this but I'm guessing I must have cried while researching for one of Monday Mystery posts! I love writing these types of posts but the researching can be pretty upsetting at times and just get a bit much!

2.  Shane Dawson got a new dog and the whole video just had me SOBBING. His Mum (who is the purest angel to exist) describing how much she loves her animals made me relate way too much, I cried. Also, the fact that Shane adopted a dog, instead of buying from a breeder and will be able to give her such an incredible life that she may not have got otherwise. AND the woman from the adoption place offering to drive the dog all the way from San Franciso to LA FOR FREE because she just wants to help give dogs a better life. T E A R S!!! And then at the end of the video, Shane gave her a cheque for $30k to help her keep doing what she does. I was a mess okay, I love dogs. Watch the video: here

3. I read an article about Edinburgh being closed because of all the snow but the penguins were living their BEST LIFE and ugh, the sweet joy of the purest little penguins made me shed so many happy tears.

4. I was watching something WHICH I DIDN'T WRITE DOWN SO IDK WHAT BUT I cried because it hit me how much love I will have for my future children and I cried so much hahaha. I think because I didn't ever have that family unit growing up, having my own family will mean so much to me and I just CANNOT WAIT.

5. I watched Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and sobbed the whole way through. I legit didn't have any emotions left after that!

6. Two weeks after the horrific Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, where 17 people were killed, the students were welcomed back with OVER 40 THERAPY DOGS and the pictures that were posted online were just TOO MUCH. It's so amazing seeing dogs just being good boys and doing their jobs to help people, ya feel?

7. Watching old Doctor Who videos. I don't know why I do this. It ALWAYS ends in me crying. Can you watch "Goodbye, my Sarah Jane" knowing that it really was goodbye without sobbing???? If so, you are COLD-BLOODED MY FRIEND. (Side note: I just watched it again whilst writing this and guess what? Crying again, aren't I? "Well, there was this one guy. I travelled with him for a while, but he was a tough act to follow. Goodbye, Doctor.") NAH, I AM DEAD INSIDE NOW.

8. The Boots Mother's Day advert. I don't even know why. I think I'm just too emotional at anything sentimental. Christmas adverts practically kill me off every year, no wonder I eat too much in December.

9. THE OSCARS aka my favourite night of the year. I love it but I'm that bitch crying at every speech. It's so great seeing people awarded for their hard work and I just get too emotional. This year someone even thanked their cat in their speech and that was pretty much the best thing ever.

10. Shane Dawson's video on insecurities. I love his funny videos and his scary videos but sometimes, he also does something super meaningful and I love that so much. This was such a great video series that sends out a really important message. It was emotional at multiple points but when Garrett said: "A little bit of like two cents here is, like, at your best you are a person who makes comedy and does this and all you've ever done is take your darkness and turn it into art, with your short films, with your books, with everything, with literally your entire career thus far, and I think these issues that have haunted us so deeply, this weird thing that we connected over is like severe body issues that control every waking hour, with you, with me, but hey, you know what? All we can do is laugh at these and try and make light of them because otherwise we're just gonna be wallowing in sorrow and that's not good for anyone. So, I feel like this video, I know it got to a pretty real place but it's also us just trying to be like, hey, we're all in this together, we all have darkness." I honestly love Garrett so much. He's such a great friend, but also, such a great online influence too. He always has something to say that is so worth listening to and even though I don't know him, I'm so glad YouTube is a thing and I get to witness how amazing of a person he is because he definitely makes me want to become a better person. Watch the two-part video series: here.

11. Jenna Marble's video on making tiny things for her hampster, Ad. She baked a carrot cake for him TWICE because it didn't turn out great the first time and when he finally ate it and she was SO HAPPY, I cried and wanted to buy a hampster more than anything in this world. This is even sadder now because, since this, Ad sadly passed away. My heart is so broken. Video here.

12. The prospect of Garrett Watts being the new frontman of Blues Clues. This is everything we need and MORE. He said: "At my best, I’ve got a lot of love for being intrigued & curious in life & I feel like in the age of screens, kids need to see someone who has an actual, furious curiosity for life & show them how beautiful & empowering it can be." He is so pure, I can't even DEAL.

13. Mark Hamill finally got his star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, which made me happy but also, it made me so sad because there was no Carrie Fisher there to support him. Harrison Ford said when he was talking how he was so sorry that the other member of their trio wasn't there with them, but he could feel her presence. TOO MANY EMOTIONS.

14. It took me eight years, but I finally watched the final episode of Gavin and Stacey and seeing Stacey finally pregnant made me absolutely WEEP.

15. How I Met Your Mother. I cry at most of the episodes because they have SO many great quotes, for example: "So that’s the upside of hurt. Sometimes, it happens for a reason." Ugh, such a lovely programme that I always seem to re-watch!

16. The mental health advert playing in the cinema. Ugh, I was SOBBING.

17. Gossip Girl. Chuck and Blair. Those two are always turning me into an emotional wreck. It's so conflicting because the relationship is SO TOXIC but they love each other so much. U G H. Luckily, they grow and change as people and finally end up together.

This was probably a really random idea for a blog post but definitely made me laugh! I cry at pretty much everything, it has to be said and if this post has taught me anything, it's that Doctor Who, animals and Garrett Watts are my weaknesses. Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed it if you made it this far!
